This 2-ply light worsted weight yarn is undyed and available in natural colors from our small flock of Icelandic Sheep.  It is a very warm and durable yarn, consisting of both the outer waterproof tog and soft and insulating downy thel layers of the fleece.  Icelandic yarn has a scratchy reputation thanks to the lopi that is commercially available, but our plied yarn (this group in particular made up of lots of lamb fleeces) is a far softer beast.
Our 'Black Coffee' colorway is made up of entirely lamb fleeces this year and is suitable for next-to-skin garments.
 
Every skein includes the name of the sheep who grew the wool.
 
Each skein weighs 70g (2.5oz) and is approximately 150 yards.
Gauge is 7 stitches = 1" on US 4
